Fattorie Garofalo is the leading company in the buffalo dairy sector, with more than 60 years of history and three generations. It is the largest Mediterranean buffaloes breeder in the world, the first producer of buffalo milk and PDO Buffalo Mozzarella in the world.

Its uniqueness is represented by the complete management of its integrated and circular supply chain which starts from the cultivation of 3,000 hectares to produce the fodder that feeds the 12,000 buffaloes raised in the 7 owned farms.
Every year it processes 38 million liters of milk which it transforms into 10,000,000 kg of buffalo cheese, distributed in more than 40 countries around the world.

In its 14 flagship stores, located in airports, train stations and shopping malls in the main Italian cities, they tell the story of the goodness of the products through traditional Made in Italy recipes prepared in a fun and innovative way for all tastes.
Finally, it renews its commitment in terms of sustainability, producing 7,000 MW/h of green energy through photovoltaic and biogas systems, guaranteeing coverage of its energy needs of 75%. The objective for the next two years is to achieve the condition of energy balance.

Fattorie Garofalo stands out for its high standards of certified animal welfare, in fact it has joined to the "CLASSYFARM" monitoring program since the testing phases, a qualified system of the Italian Ministry of Health for the evaluation of animal welfare. All of its farms scored above the national average for livestock welfare levels. The investments made in terms of zootechnical and breeding technological structures are strategic to guarantee high standards of welfare for dairy buffaloes.
